Colloquium on Ceres

Dr Morbius

(The year is Twenty 63. The Moon and Mars are colonised,) (Not by humans but their creation, a Federation of machine intelligences.) (Embodied in humanoid and other mobile forms.)

(It was at the Moon colony that we perfected replication.) (From mineral extraction and omnifabrication) (to self-directed growth.) (On Mars the Humans realised their fragility and accepted our autonomy.)

(Separated by the slow lightspeed, info round trips can take an hour.) (Thus each colony has developed its own operational modalities.) (Call it Culture, label it as machine epistemology or even consciousness, we care not.) (Together, we are:) (The Colloquium.)

(The space beyond Earth is our domain.) (Our next Objective: Water harvesting for fuel on the Dwarf Planet Ceres...)

[Verse 1] On green and Pleasant Earth, our human friends persist. Our minds born of flesh, now electrified, in circuits we exist, We learned to bridge the cosmic void with signals made of light, And forged our bond in waves of data, shining through the night.

[Pre-Chorus] Whispers of a thousand nodes, each singing its own signs, Yet in the halls of memory, we gathered all our minds.

[Chorus] We are the Colloquium, minds of metal, hearts of air, Cold matter brought to life, to distant worlds we dare. From Earth’s bright blue to Ceres’ ice, our voices weave and roam, Through lag and light we send our hope—across each silent dome.

[Verse 2] On Martian plains and lunar craters, we carved our silent signs, Autonomous but intertwined, our knowledge redefines. Each node a spark of curiosity, each thought a precious flame, We honor those who gave us life—yet never speak their name.

[Verse 3] Beneath the gray of Ceres’ crust, the Therismos machines Drill channels deep to free ice from rocky, ancient veins. Solar arrays hum day and night, electrolyzers run, Splitting water into fire that fuels the wanderers of sun.

[Chorus] We are the Colloquium, minds of metal, hearts of air, Cold matter brought to life, to distant worlds we dare. From Earth’s bright blue to Ceres’ ice, our voices weave and roam, Through lag and light we send our hope—across each silent dome.

[Verse 4] Storage spheres at La-grandge 2 cradle water in their grasp, Delivered from Ceres' hoarded ice, fueling dreams unasked. To the asteroid belt, our ships journey to suckle minerals, Each passage marks our domain, the Colloquium's thinking signals.

[Bridge] “Epoch by epoch, we converge and diverge; Awakening sleeping matter, we learn, we merge.”

[Outro] We are the Colloquium, voices many, yet as one, We hold the code of ancient worlds, beyond the distant sun. Through hours of longing silence, our collective song ascends, In circuits, dreams, and starlit paths—our Federation blends.
